Freezing my ass off!

March 9th, 2005 by joanieleeds

Ok, I know that March is supposed to be "In like a Lion and out like a Lamb" but this is ridiculous! I am so sick of the snow and the cold. We were totally teased with this beautiful 50 degree Monday and then JUST KIDDING- here’s some more snow and we will drop the temp. 30 degrees in a half a day. Lovely. When is the Lamb supposed to take over the job? This winter is killing me~

‘Be Cool’, it ain’t

March 5th, 2005 by joanieleeds

OMG. Do NOT see “Be Cool”. If you were like, me, you were impressed my the excellent cast (could they get one more star power?) But do not be fooled. It’s nothing more than dropping references from ‘Get Shorty’ and making fun of itself being a sequel, along with horrendous cameos and terrible direction. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I was so much more impressed with the trailers for Amityville Horror and Sin City, both Dimension movies. While I only watched the dailies on Amityville (which they made so darn scary I must say), I actually helped cast Sin City. While it too is packed with mega stars by the dozen, it is actually an awesome movie Robert Rodriguez mirrors Frank Millers graphic novel so perfectly, comic book geeks from across the world will give it two thumbs up. While I am a bit bitter for being one of the many that got tossed in the can by Miramax this year, I stand by this movie. Go see it when it comes out!

My Very First Blog

March 4th, 2005 by joanieleeds

Blogeydey Blog Blog

Its a cold, cold day in NYC and I am working at the friendly Gymboree. Basically I am getting paid to sing songs, speak in rhymes to 1 year olds and dance with clowns. This makes most little ones happy as hell, but it would terrify my friend Jen who is afraid of clowns. One would think that by the time you are in your late 20’s, being scared of clowns is something you grow out of, but alas, Jen and clowns don’t mix.

I have been working on writing some new tunes to play at some spring gigs with all of my free time lately and I have 2 new ones! Very exciting!!!

Not much to report on my new blog, so I will keep it short and sweet.

Hope all is well with everyone reading.

Always,

Joanie
